Farrier's Friends' Collage April 2026 Part I (April 5, 2026)

Welcome To Warrier's Friends' COLLAGE, April, 2026 Part I (April 5, 2026) Editorial Many of us are adversely affected by the side effects of the current man-made chaos initiated by a nation which boasts about a legacy of two hundred years old legacy of democracy. May be, it's a system in disrepair waiting overhaul. Just as America can never compensate for the destruction of precious lives caused by 1945 bombing to the present war, world will continue to repent for the criminal pedestrian apathy of all of us to the present cruelty on humanity, for centuries to come. M G Warrier A Bhagavad Gita https://share.google/aimode/SMV2kXejeoJnTdfxi There are several commentaries on Bhagavad Gita, from Shankaracharya to Nithyachaitanya Yati with those by Balagangadhara Tilak and Dr S Radhakrishnan in between. Gita itself is a brief composition (some 700 stanzas) appearing as a conversation between Krishna and Arjuna just before the commencement of the Kurukshetra war in the great epic (about a lakh stanzas) Mahabharata. But it serves the purpose of triggering interesting thoughts. The article helps us to remember the passwords to open many windows, past, present and future. Remember the child who refused to leave your finger during morning walks? He called you today to express fear about the war escalating... In war, deaths may be inevitable. But the perverted leadership which encourages bombing of schools deserves...let us wait. Upto this, I have shared with some of you earlier. I thought I will have no compulsion to complete the sentence I left open ended. Helpless humanity is expressing its multiple emotions in different ways. Writers are writing articles and books. Some are more creative, making reels and videos using the help of AI. Our mind wanders with thoughts of disappointment, revenge and other multiple emotions. Those who are directly affected by war are cursing destiny and praying. They include families of US soldiers and innocent humans working in some corners of UAE or Israel or Iran. Revenge? Yes it's on the way. Could be light years away or as close as your shadow. But, is on the way. https://share.google/aimode/HpmM365at8M4eOkzu C Literature A poem by Gopi Kottoor(Ex-RBI) "Ant on my hand" is another that got Gopi Kottoor a publishing contract. Here is the poem : The Ant on my Hand It seems sure of where it is going, is my hand A route to its home? Where is its tiny feet taking it to? At the end of my fingers Is the end of the world, And then, thereafter, the ocean of air. I know that the ant has lost Its way and I have no language To express this futility, to tell it, that it is lost, That it can no more return To where it came from, As it climbs This skin terrain Of my hand now That rains For a simple life being, The antithesis of the heavens. Economic and Political Review. My response : Congratulations Gopi ๐Ÿ‘ Somewhere I've heard "เดจാเดŸเด•ാเดจ്เดคം เด•เดตിเดค്เดตം" ("Natakantam Kavthwam"). Don't remember the context and therefore can't convey the purport. I think the pursuit of literary efforts peaks when one becomes well versed. I always envy the advantage a poet gets as a philosopher, interpreter and observer in the reverse order. Yes, as a child, I too used to trouble the ant ๐Ÿœ making it walk to and fro on an eerkil. Ant doesn't stop the journey even after finding out that it is trumped beyond redeeming its way. Thanks, Gopi ๐Ÿ™ Have a Good Day
