Enjoyed reading . Keeping physically and mentally fit at this age is itself an achievement and contributing to the society intellectually by sharing life and experiences, motivating many to lead an active and healthy life is adding value to own self and others as well . It all helps to have a positive outlook and a very satisfying feeling . Keep going strong .May God bless you and your family Always and in All Ways . With warm regards Dr TVG . [MG Warrier : Thanks and Regards I'll treasure this response 🙏-Warrier) 2) V Babusenan Thiruvananthapuram Dear Shri Warrier, It was a good interview that you gave to the Dignity Dialogue. What touched me most in it was the mention about your younger days. It is one thing to be born poor, but quite another to be suddenly and mercilessly thrown into the abyss of abject poverty from affluence. It was your good fortune that the trauma, for which the cruel customs were responsible, did not affect you at all. Regards Babusenan My response : Sir Frankly, I also didn't know this much about me before I answered the Dignity Dialogue questionnaire! I was shocked to receive an invitation for an email interview from the Dignity Dialogue Editor Huned Contractor last month. It was long ago that I had been regularly contributing articles for DD. After that the editorial team there has changed and I shifted my focus to economics and finance. In October this year I submitted a short article (Life's Journey) to DD and they published it last month. But that doesn't qualify for being considered for an interview like this. Anyway I consider it as another streak of luck. And luck has taken me so far 🙏-Warrier 3) S W Fadnavis Congratulations on your new book. I will definitely buy it soon. Your writings make very interesting reading. In my opinion, you are the beacon leading to a road to happier old age. Proud to have you as a friend. Please continue to guide us. Best, Sharad Fadnavis Dear Fadnavis I'm yet to see the published version of the book. My children have bought copies. Feedback is okay. There's nothing great about it. Compiled the short monologues into a book feeling that books have a longer shelf life. Thanks 🙏 and Regards M G Warrier 4) Jyothylakshmi Anilkumar Chennai Dignity Dialogue interview Interesting!! Best wishes. Admire your honesty and genuity a lot. And about the book : I am sure the book is an interesting read. Best wishes 🙏👍 Wow!! I see praises pouring in for the book, through the messages posted here!! Congrats! 5) J Santhanakrishnan Dear Shri Warrier After going through the excerpts from your interview(Dignity Dialogue), I am very proud of your present lifestyle and past experiences. Though I have served during the same span you were in RBI, because of your transfers from TVM, Mumbai, and Nagpur and also of my entire service being only in Chennai, I have not had the opportunity of serving with you. In view of all your loved ones are in India your centered Wish List will strengthen the family bonds and will also create lasting memories. Wish you Good Luck. With kind regards JS Dear JS Many Thanks 🙏 for your kind words. I'm yet to see the published version of the book. My children have bought copies. Feedback is okay. There's nothing great about it. Compiled the short monologues into a book feeling that books have a longer shelf life. Thanks 🙏 and Regards M G Warrier 6) S K Gupta Panchkula Respected Sir, I took this opportunity to go through your entire interview. Your conviction even in respect of various hot bedded issues enroute your road to success till date, was really admirable. While human life may appear to be quite simple but the fact remains that it is never a straight line.Your past mixed experiences bears a testimony thereto. I consider myself lucky to be in direct contact with you.Thank God that he made all this possible. Wishing you a Positive, Prosperous and Productive life ahead. Stay healthy and committed to your pre-established goals in life. With Warmest Regards S.K.Gupta Panchkula Warrier's response : Dear Gupta Even without having any opportunity to work together or meet, for years you have been liberal in encouraging and supporting me in my pursuits. Blessed 🙏 to have several friends like you. Thanks and Regards for the inspiring words Regards 🙏 M G Warrier 7) S R Badrinarayanan Well said, Warrier. In that way, we should thank both the groups that have brought many unknown RBites into our contact and communication. .... Badri🙏🙏 8) Vathsala Jayaraman But for the groups, I would not have had the opportunity to be aware of so many things and I would have locked myself restricted to my imagination as to what to cook for lunch and dinner. Very many thanks to the intellectuals of both the groups for having made us to look into ourselves and understand how the world works Vathsala Jayaraman 9) R Jayakumar Mumbai Dear Warrier Accept my hearty congratulations to you for successfully bringing out your third book in print titled 'OPEN BOOK OF HAPPY MEMORIES'.* I wish the book to find popularity among the readers and bring joy to you to be called among those successful writers in the RBI family who could get published their own books. Wishing you more success and popularity as a good writer. R Jayakumar *The book is available from online sales outlets like Amazon.in : In case you opt to buy from Amazon.in please buy around weekends and remember to post a short review. Thanks. Link : Open Book of Happy Memories ( And Other Stories ) https://amzn.eu/d/dVutM42 10) Kiran Warrier Navi Mumbai Just started the book but scanned through the titles. I think it would have been a good idea to group the stories/articles into sections so that reader knows what to expect and there is a flow. II One section could have been Happy Memories and second something like Random Musings on Life's Challenges and maybe a third on Economy and Finance [ MG Warrier : Will consider if there's a second edition 👍) My response to I : I agree. But I had no plan to publish a book after the third book "Restoring Trust in Governance"(2020). Mostly what this book contains are short sporadic snippets written for inclusion in the daily Collage brought out during the pandemic to cater to a targeted audience who enjoyed reading the daily messages. It was incidental that Times Blog published some of my articles under Warrier's Views. I don't know the reason for the Times discontinuing publication of articles under Readers Blog early this year. The published articles are available date-wise at the website. Fearing that the articles may become inaccessible any day, I decided to publish this book. The content is not amenable to getting organised into sections unless one rewrites them organising into a book. The "assorted pattern" I copied from Dr Tiny Nair who shares whatever he jots down with the publisher and gets books published in a totally disorganised way asking readers to start reading from anywhere. 11) Sooraj S V Dreams Complex About Dignity Dialogue Interview* with M G Warrier Superb 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻.... couldn't stop reading once I started... *Published in January 2024 issue of Dignity Dialogue. Shared earlier. B Collage Books Books by M G Warrier https://notionpress.com/author/m_g_warrier 1) Open Book of Happy Memories 2) Restoring Trust in Governance 3) India's Decade of Reforms 4) Chasing Inclusive Growth (eBook) All published by Notion Press and available at online sales outlets like Amazon.in and Flipkart besides the Publisher Collage Book of the month Dr Raghuram Rajan's new book : Breaking the Mould Breaking the Mould : Reimagining India's Economic Future https://amzn.eu/d/6ijXNP6 And my Media Response to the Hindu interaction with Rajan : December 24, 2023 Reimagining India's Economic Future This refers to the interview with Raghuram Rajan with focus on India's economic future (The Hindu, Sunday Magazine, December 24). Dr Rajan has been keeping an eye on the political and economic developments back in India ever since his return to US in 2016. Post-RBI governorship his intelligent interventions in the economic and political intercourse in India has been beneficial to the country. Actually, India should welcome him back offering a befitting position, sooner than later to make amends for the controversial exit he had to make in 2016. Anyone who goes through this interview at The Hindu website can feel Rajan's deep interest in Indianomics and perhaps he is not hiding his willingness to return to India at the right time. Donate my dreams To all those women Who between the confines of The kitchen and the bedroom Have lost their world Have forgotten years ago What it is to dream. Scatter my laughter Among the inmates of old-age homes Whose children Are lost To the glittering cities of America. There are some colours Lying on my table With them dye the sari of the girl Whose border is edged With the blood of her man Who wrapped in the tricolor Was laid to rest last evening. Give my tears To all the poets Every drop Will birth a poem I promise. Make sure you catch the youth Of the country, everyone And inject them With my indignation They will need it Come the revolution. My ecstasy Belongs to That Sufi Who Abandoning everything Has set off in search of God. Finally, What's left My envy My greed My anger My lies My selfishness These simply Cremate with me... Amrita. *Collage Exercise : Now substitute 2023 in place of Amrita and edit the poem to make sense. E A Priest dies & is waiting in line at Heaven's Gate. Ahead of him is a guy, fashionably dressed, in dark sun glasses, a loud shirt, leather jacket & jeans. God to the guy : '' Who Are You....???? '' Guy : '' I am Thrissur-Guruvayur Express Bus driver.....!!!! '' God : Take this Gold robe & enter kingdom of heaven. God to the Priest : Who Are You.....???? '' Priest : I am a priest & spent 40yrs preaching good to people. God : '' Take this cotton Robe and enter heaven......!!!! '' Priest : '' God, how come that foul mouthed, rash driver gets a Gold & I spent all my life preaching Good, get Cotton......!!!!! '' God : '' Results, my son, Results...... While you Preached, People Slept, When he drove, People Really Prayed.......'' “It's Performance, Not Position That Counts.....!!!!!! ”
