Friends
I was in Kerala from April 2 to 9, 2025. Visited some relatives and friends in Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur and attended a wedding on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Tried to meet maximum number of friends and relatives in the available time.
At the wedding we attended, I interacted with 3 guests who were 92 plus. None of them were complaining about their own health issues or corruption in government. Their approach to life had changed. They were more practical and happy and contented.
We need not wait to reach 90 plus for that changeover. The world outside is different from what we guess, reading WhatsApp messages and watching Media's "Vruthaakandhakshobham" (word borrowed from Shankaracharya).
Happy Birthday to all readers having Birthday during this week.
Nice Day

Hanuman Jayanti on April 12, 2025
Those who have time and patience, please read Swami Swaroopananda's write up @ Speaking Tree (Times of India, April 12) sentence by sentence and ponder over.
Just get amazed about the symbols used in our epics to drive certain ideas. Watch how the role of Vayu Putra Hanuman and personification of Mahalaxmi Sita are explained.
Why Hanuman was not killed when he visited Lanka first time?
Why Hanuman didn't destroy Lanka and retrieve Sita when it was possible for him?
No, I am not answering.

Heaven is in our thoughts
Satsanga or being in the company of wise people was an accepted option for seekers of all ages until, perhaps the close of last Century. This was made possible through prayer meetings, by arranging guest lectures in educational institutions and work places, continuous discourses by reputed Acharyas and Scholers along with temple festivals and other occasions.
Concept of Heaven is related to physical well-being and mental happiness.
In this article, Dada JP Vaswani briefly narrates the relevance of the thought of Heaven.

Leisure
I had a small shop by the roadside.
One day, suddenly, a big store opened in front of it,
and the store owner put up a board: "Ghee ₹300 per kg."
I also put up a board: "Ghee ₹280 per kg."
The next day, the store owner put up another banner: "Ghee ₹260 per kg."
I again updated my board: "Ghee ₹240 per kg."
Seeing this daily price war, a gentleman advised me:
"That is a big store; it can bear losses,
but you won’t be able to compete with it for long.
So, don’t compare yourself with them."
I looked at the gentleman from head to toe and replied:
"But I don’t even sell ghee!
I’m just waiting to see how low they can go...
Because my wife wants to buy it!
