Warrier's Mail, 25052020 : Prayers

Warrier's Mail, 25052020 : Prayers https://m.timesofindia.com/A- prayer-for-healing/ articleshow/5071176.cms Encouraged by the responses received for mails focusing on Warrier and Rajahs, we move on to Brahmins today. The Brahmins are re-skilling to take on the fast changing world. They have an inherent urge to learn and teach and no one can match their confidence about survival. The Kerala Nambudiri's sense of humor conceals his ignorance of realities. Brahmins as a community, in several situations pray for the universal well-being. The opening link is in the context of the thoughts all of us are sharing. M G Warrier A. Warrier's Mail, 24052020 : Focus on Kerala History

Warrier's Mail, 24052020 : Rajahs' Special Good Morning Many, who are debating the present status of Kerala, are unaware of the history of Kerala prior to the formation of the linguistic state of Kerala in 1957. The geographical area now known as Kerala, prior to 1957, during different periods, belonged in bits and pieces to different kingdoms, provinces, foreign invaders etc. There was a short period when Malabar remained annexed to Bombay Province also. Kerala's culture, civilization, literacy, wealth and heritage were influenced and impacted by all these. All these years, the region has been giving more than what it has been receiving. If the gross unaccounted and accounted assets in Kerala and the accumulated networth of Malayalees living across geographies are valued and factored in, the quantum will be a reasonably high multiple of the present estimated GDP of the state. There is no other region or community in the world which can make a similar claim.  ...

A baby's diary : An excellent beginning

A baby’s diary https://timesofindia. indiatimes.com/readersblog/ author/vidyavydianathanv696/   A young mother tells an interesting story. Open the link to know more. Posted online comments:   THE TIMES OF INDIA Dear Reader, Your comment on the article  '  A BABY'S DIARY '  is now live on  timesofindia.indiatimes.com/ readersblog . '  vidya this is an excellent beginning for a story teller. professional story tellers have become boring, because they put together ingredients in stories keeping the target audience in mind. stories like this based on real life experiences and listening to one\'s own inner voice have a different audience. once 10 or 15 readers notice you, they will start waiting for your stories. i understand this is chapter 1 and you have plans to write more stories and novels. slowly, you have to get out of the diary-style and squeeze-in other peoples\' experiences, your own memories of situations in mythological et...

Warrier's Mail, May 22, 2020 : Post-Pandemic Job Scenario

Warrier's Mail, 22052020 : Post-Pandemic Job Scenario Yesterday, my friend Shri Jacob from Bangalore asked me how I'm deciding the "menu" for my Daily Messages. I couldn't give a satisfactory answer. Let me think about it. Practically these days, as my interest in "regular activities" like reading newspapers and magazines (I'm not getting print editions), moving out of house etc is getting stifled I have spare time for idling. Instead of allowing my mind to look out of the window and wander: I direct my thoughts to "what should I cook for tomorrow for my next day's mail"  M G Warrier A. Post Pandemic Job Opportunities https://youtu.be/7-Lc8M9pbiw   This week, Dr Jayaram Nayar talks about changing scenario in the job market, post-pandemic, and advises how re-skilling and re-positioning can help those needing a change of job or those entering the job market. Warrier's Mail, 21052020 : Pen Pals Special

Warrier's Mail, 21052020 : Pen Pals Special Pen Friends https://www.thehindu.com/ features/metroplus/society/ pen-pals/article2346649.ece   Suba's story which will unfold if this link opens, will make you wonder why you "didn't continue 'that' friendship!" I'm one of the top 100 lucky humans surviving today on planet earth. Criteria for this conclusion : "Rich Friends Circle" and total absence of enemies*. Your claim to be one among the remaining 99 at any rank will be considered on merits. From childhood neighborhood, school and college, I got very few friends.  My friends include my colleagues, those with whom I stayed, all my known relatives, friends and relatives of my relatives and friends, people whom I came to know via social media, some of the writers whom I contacted after reading their writings and some of my readers who got in touch with me after reading what I wrote. Rediscover Hope, Embrace Reason : Warrier's Blog, 20052020

Warrier's Mail, 20052020 : Rediscover Hope, Embrace Reason Good Morning As one of the groups in which I am member has some web space problem, I'm trying to be more selective in sending mails/messages and responses to that group. Some friends have informed me personally that they are more comfortable to receive messages via WhatsApp and some others are accessing www.warriersblog.com Recently, a Facebook friend lamented: "Some posts give an impression that the writer does so much effort and posts his/her views, as if it will be read by millions. Sometimes, no one else opens the FB page" Maybe, an exaggerated observation. But we'll discuss a "Writer's Progress" tomorrow, under "Pen Friends". Till then, think about your 20th century pen friends.  I think it would be appropriate to continue the "Daily Mail" for some more time. Those who get the same message from more than one source (email, WhatsApp, Twitter...
