The faith column in The Hindu daily comes out with an interesting thought which makes the day-break meaningful. The quotes and thoughts culled out from discourses by scholars are not specific to any religion or with reference to any Era.
 There was no concept of "religion" during the Vedic/Upanishadic times and real masters never use the word religion or caste in their discourses except in anecdotes.
