Warrier's COLLAGE July 4, 2021

Welcome to Warrier's COLLAGE ON Sunday July 4, 2021 Good Morning Happy Birthday to all readers having Birthday during the week ending Saturday July 10, 2021. Best Wishes. Nice Day M G Warrier Satsangam with Panchapagesan : Decoding Spirituality Just as a candle cannot burn without Fire, Humans cannot Live without a Spiritual life.. Buddha There was once a wealthy merchant who had Four wives.. He spent much time telling his first wife how beautiful and worthy she was. Second wife though he liked, was not as he loved the first as much . Third wife was hardly spent his time though he took care of him. Fourth wife was least unfortunate of all. He never visited her... He fell ill and the doctors declared that he had but a few hours to live And that he could spend the time with his family if he so wished... He asked everyone whether they could accompany him through the portals Of death into a world unknown. Everyone declined except the fourth..She said” I love you my dear master and no matter where you go I will follow” First wife is our body, second wealth and possessions, third is relationship And the fourth is the immortal soul in us which is The Reality of living... Spirituality awakens us to our essential nature....we are spiritual beings.. To realize that inherent spirituality nature, we must seek it with an open mind. Spirituality does not tell us to renounce the world, but teaches how to enjoy The world without getting enslaved by its fascinating pleasures.. Material growth and prosperity raise the standard of living, whereas Inner rehabilitation improves the Standard of life. Spirituality is the true basis of all our activities of life.. Spirituality is a means to help us rise above our problems so that We remain unscathed by them. God has made each of us unique and designed us for a special purpose In Life. When we find that purpose, we have to accept it gracefully , And put our all into fulfilling it , we find CONTENTMENT... V T Panchapagesan A Responses 1) C V Subbaraman Mysuru Cost of Medicine: I agree that the cost of such medicines needs to be brought down drastically. How many persons in the world can afford this expenditure, leave alone India? The way our pharma industry is pricing medicines, in the name of expenses on research, is not inspiring. On the other hand it creates justifiable suspicion that the industry is looting. It is futile to expect even governments of any country being able to subsidising such medical bill. By such subsidies or public contributions, we are only pampering the greedy Pharma industry. My husband came home, ate his dinner in 3 mins & fell asleep in 2 mins. How was yours? Wife 1 : Oh mine was amazing ! My husband came home and took me out for a romantic dinner. After dinner we walked for an hour. When we came home he lit the candles around the house. It was like a fairy tale ! At the same time, their husbands are talking at work.. Husband 1 : How was your evening? Husband 2 : Great. I came home, dinner was on the table, I ate & fell asleep. What about you ? Husband 1 : It was horrible. I came home, there's no dinner, they cut the electricity because I forgot to pay the bill; so I took her out for dinner which was so expensive that didn't have money left for a cab or auto.We walked home which took an hour & when we got home I remembered there was no electricity so I had to light candles all over the house !!!!!! S. T. R. STROKE IDENTIFICATION: During a BBQ, a woman stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) ..she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Jane went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening Jane's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 pm Jane passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Jane would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead. It only takes a minute to read this... A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough... RECOGNIZING A STROKE Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR . Read and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke. Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions: S *Ask the individual to SMILE. T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. It is sunny out today.) R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS. If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher. New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke. A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved. I have done my part. Will you? On 1st July my elder sister( 82) was talking to me from 10A. M. t010.45 A,M/She told me that she was going to canara bank within five mts walkable distance from her flat in Abhiramapuram. She lost her husband a year back, last Apr. At about 11. 30 A. M. I recd a call that my sister fell down inside the bank and she is admitted in a nearby nursing home.Within 15 mts I reached the place. All the details I had read were running in my mind.Luckily within 15 mts I reached the hospital. I hoped that we were very much in time. But destiny was otherwise.Doctors say, soon on falling her pulse became'NIL'. They could not resuscitate her with all the best medicines and oxygen in put. They waited for half an hour hoping to get some improvement. But God's plan was something else. She was declared dead at 12. 20A. M. I had no time to think about.I hurriedly telephoned to the pundit to arrange for cremation the same evening at 4P. M.Some ten relatives could visit in time. The mortal remains were handed over to me at 2P. M. and cremation was over by 4.30P. M. So often we talk of Anaayaasa Maranam. Here Yama came by flight to take her away within a fraction of a second..We do not know whether she fell down and died or died and fell down..She could die even before one could pronounce the word'Anaayaasa Maranam'.Since she had no children, we didn't wait for any one's arrival. She was blessed to have instantaneous death, no treatment, no need for anyone to attend on her even for a few days. Yet the thoughts scorch me a lot. 'ST R '-The three steps-was well within my knowledge.- which could not be made use of. Destiny's hurry was unimaginable. It was supreme . Lovely poem on middle age blues The Mirror Edmund Burke , 1729 – 1797, Irish Philosopher‫.‬ I look in the mirror And what do I see‫?‬ A strange looking person That cannot be me‫.‬ For I am much younger And not nearly so fat As that face in the mirror I am looking at‫.‬ Oh, where are the mirrors That I used to know Like the ones which were Made thirty years ago‫?‬ Now all things have changed And I`m sure you`ll agree Mirrors are not as good As they used to be‫.‬ So never be concerned‫,‬ If wrinkles appear For one thing I`ve learned Which is very clear‫,‬ Should your complexion Be less than perfection‫,‬ It is really the mirror That needs correction!!
