WIMWIAN-Alumni Magazine of IIM Ahmedabad Friends The book on my table is the February 2023 issue of WIMWIAN, February 2023 focusing on "Reunions - 11 batches on Campus!" I had attended a short program at IIM Ahmedabad during early 1990's. During my stay in the Vastrapur campus where the buildings have the signature designs and planning of Lawry Baker, impressed by the academic environment and the dedication of the faculty and students there I had written a letter to my children that they should try to get admission there when their time comes. Both kept this in mind and made an attempt but as they didn't opt to wait, respecting our financial constraints, landed in other management institutes of repute and are doing well. Long before the social media activism rekindled the memories of campuses and youth and elders became nostalgic about their academic days, IIM Ahmedabad had the vision to keep the institution's Alumni bonded together. The Rs6000 fee paid by my organisation (RBI) paid for my 6 weeks programme there included the life subscription for the then IIM Alumni Magazine which comes to me as the tri-annual WIMWIAN after decades, wherever I am. They were generous to give space in the magazine to publish a brief write-up about my book "Restoring Trust in Governance" published in 2020. More later M G Warrier

                       The King of Ragas                      --------------------------     Long ago  serpents were put to lot of hardships.They  were afraid of other animals. They had to seek refuge in the hermitage of sage Saraba.The sage was a true devotee of Lord Shiva.He used to pray Shiva with melodious songs. As he sang a particular raga the snakes were much inspired and they began to dance,. Slowly the serpents became friendly with the sage.
