Warrier's Friends' Collage : June 4, 2026

Welcome To Warrier's Friends' COLLAGE, June 4, 2026 A Random Reading Responses Responses to Random Reading 2/2026(June 3, 2026) 1 Dr T V Gopalakrishnan ExRBI : "Unfortunately, all these words with indepth meaning remain in books, sometimes in speeches as quotes, and are seldom put into practice to enhance the quality of life. After some time, even this can vanish, and living will be guided by something else more connected with materialism, technology and evolving AI. Chaos and confusion are the present order and tough times are ahead for upcoming generations." My response : True 🙏 I'm sharing what I write for my satisfaction and as part of regular exercise. One or two people like my daughter's cousin Deepa in London may read and the torch will remain burning Thanks & Regards" 2 Vathsala Jayaraman : "Dear Shri Warrier I have this book with me for the past ten years gifted to me by my son. I have read it many number of times. His strong views on the guiles of Lord Krishna are to be read and re-read. There are certain views that we may not agree with. On the whole the book is a rich possession of information and high learning. Shri Gurucharan Das is able to place forth his arguments on solid foundation. A nice book worth reading many a time. Thank you, Warrier. My response : 🙏Thanks I loved his starting point which is the dilemma or trilemma today's generation faces, once financial security is ensured and finds a long road ahead. There the real enquiry about "purpose of life" begins. Gurucharan Das seems lucky to take a break at the right time and have the support system in place to pursue the kind of research he had in mind. That he could share his thoughts through books is the icing🙏 VJ : "Thank you. Very rarely we find writers on these subjects, which many authors hesitate to reach." 3 K Ramasubramanian, Mumbai "Please have some presentation on Hindu Dharma in detail. Is there any conflict with Islam and Christianity? If so what are they and what view is rational and real." My response : Here, as I understand, "Dharma" is being used to mean "Religion". I have some idea about Hinduism and Christianity. I had no occasion to learn about Islam. Religions, till the first half of last Century meant a way of disciplined life and majority inherited their religious branding depending on their place of birth and family. As majority of the Hindus, I was also not initiated to the religion. In recent past, most of the studies/research about the Hindu heritage literature (Vedas, Upanishads, Epics and Puranas) happened outside India. A comprehensive Sanskrit to English and English to Sanskrit Dictionary available now was compiled by a foreigner. Basically, all religions focus on living a righteous, harmonious, spiritual life recognising the universal brotherhood. God is an incidental tool invented to answer questions which have no answers yet. B Random Page Today Today, I was reading a three page article on "Planning For Retirement" by Richard Glover published in the February 2026 issue of Reader's Digest. The auther retiring after 26 years @Sydney Radio tries to put together his thoughts about his post-retirement life, just 5 days remaining for the D-Day. Those who love humour, please access the article. M G Warrier
