Sankhya Yoga- Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2 | devanpillaitoronto

I have a friend Shri Saravana Varma from Palghat whom I meet in the mornings for 20 to 30 minutes. Others who join us include Mr Shah (92), a farmer Mr Tikekar and Shri Khatri another RBI retiree, some 5 years senior to me in age. Today Varma was talking to us about his morning routine:
Get up around 4 a m
4 30 to 5 30 Meditation, Yoga
Morning walk
Bath, Sahasranaamam, Puka
Spend 45 minutes in the garden
Breakfast
......
He said Sahasranamam and other prayers/stutis should be recited loudly to get full advantage of the vibrations built into them.
See these stanzas from Gita loaded with meaning. Most of the scholars who used to give discourse on Gita used to take around 1 hour to explain one stanza.
