Duvvuri Subbarao, Former RBI Governor
Thank you Shri Warrier. I heard Dr Rangarajan's lectures. Absolute tour de force. Marvel at his energy and enthusiasm even at this age. A lot to learn from him.
Your letter in response is thoughtful and interesting. I will have to reflect on your points.
My best wishes to you, your family and the larger Collage Community for all the best of health and happiness in the New Year.

Life is ebbing, tired of waiting, am not steady amidst vices

While in service, I had the opportunity to visit some villages in all districts of Kerala, some districts in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan and stay in 12 plus state capitals in India. I could stay in good hotels. Also, I visited the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore during the 1990s. In all these places, I had the opportunity to taste local traditional food, besides a variety of vegetarian food served in hotels.
The experience of enjoying the food served with affection by hosts cannot be explained by words. From small kids to nonagenarians, find it easy to express their love, affection and concern for you by sharing food. Perhaps, this thought is behind offering different varieties of food as “Naivedyam” for Gods and Goddesses and accepting a portion from the same offering as “Prasadam”.
