Welcome To Warrier's COLLAGE On Saturday July 27, 2024 Adieu, Joseph 🙏 Dear Brother I received this message from Bhabhi on Thursday : Message from Mrs Kalpana Joseph (Wife of E X Joseph, US) : "My beloved husband left for his heavenly abode on July 24 morning at 8.15 very peacefully talking to me. He did not suffer from any illness. Age related weakness was there. I am sorry I could not inform you yesterday The funeral is arranged for Saturday afternoon Thank you for your love. He always remembered, talked about you with love and respect. 🙏" I added this note before sharing the message in my family : "Joseph is my friend since 1964 and we have been in touch. He knew and remembered to bless and express affection for every member of my family whenever we interacted. He was 90 plus. Prayers 🙏" A sixty years long, well-nurtured relationship gets a break as the reality that we cannot exchange thoughts as we did all through stares. Justice V R Krishna Iyer for whom you wrote a Biography (Krishna Iyer Splendour of Humanism and Justice : Konark) loved to believe that he continued to be in contact with his wife when she predeceased him. Just remembered. I treasure the affection you recorded in the copy of your book "Songs of Love" before sending it to me. I quote : "To My dearest Govinda Warrier whose friendship, love and affection have always inspired me and who is an embodiment of true spirituality and the Quest for Enlightenment and Mrs Sudha Warrier the perfect wife and mother and Kiran & Smitha and Reshmy the talented young generation... With profound love n regards & Good Wishes E X Joseph" I treasure this 1999 note... When we met first in 1964, I was still a teenager and you were Secretary General of All India Audit and Accounts Employees Association. You had come to address us (employees of AG's Office, Thiruvananthapuram) and all of us were amazed by your oratory which received continuous applause from the audience. We were not aware of your MA Economics background then. After restoring recognition of the Association, you left AG's Office and pursued journalism, law, writing poetry and books and what not, till recently, before giving up the practice in Supreme Court as Senior Advocate.
