Paperback edition also available. B Permanent Address I never had a permanent address. At the risk of legal and technical issues, let me confess that all along, so far, I have given my house address in Thiruvananthapuram when I had to give permanent address. I have not stayed there continuously for more than 9 years at any time. Then, where did I stay for the last 80 years? Briefly : 0 to 90 days : Ancestral house with mother. 91 days to Class 2 : Rented house in Purameri Class 3 & 4 : Side rooms of Ancestral house. The large tiled two story home accomodated 5 or 6 separate groups of the large joint family staying in different parts of the house and sharing the big kitchen and making make shift kichens in side-rooms. Class 5 to Standard XI : Stayed with father inside the temple where he was working. 1959 to 1963 : College days. Stayed with mother and sisters and their children in a portion of the ancestral house. 1963-64 : Had moved to Thiruvananthapuram and started working. Various sharing accommodations. 1964-1972 : Cooperative Home, Thiruvananthapuram https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/readersblog/warriersviews/room-no-3-cooperative-home-23505/ 1972-73 : Sharing Accomodations 1973-77 : Rented houses in two locations in Thiruvananthapuram. 1977-86 : Own house, Thiruvananthapuram. 1986-93 : After short stints in temporary accommodations in Mumbai, RBI Gokuldham Quarters. 1993-99 : RBI Prabhadevi Quarters 1999-2001 : RBI Officers Quarters, Nagpur 2001-03 : RBI Officer's Quarters, Sun Palazzo, Lower Parel, Mumbai. 2003-16 : Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram 2016-Till Date : Mostly* at Dreams Complex Mumbai *I'm reminded of a sticker pasted on the door of my Boss in RPCD : "When I am not elsewhere, I will be here!" During 1950's encroachments and family partition ended up in the destruction of the small forest and "Naga Devathas" migrated to some large trees closer to the house. Family, even today worships them with family deity, also enjoying open air occupation of a place under a tree.🙏 M G Warrier
