Random Reading Part I : Evolution of Vedas

Random Reading Part I : Evolution of Vedas During the recent pandemic (which impacted us 2019-22), I learnt one thing : "No longer the life is going to be 'under normal temperature and pressure'". Don't tell me, it never was! This revelation was very valuable to me. Pandemic gave me lots of time to think about past and future. My whole attitude changed. Till then I was also a normal human being. That's what I thought! I started thinking about a day without tomorrow. And, a day without yesterday. Yes, you got it right. Another version of "living in the present" We can mould our thoughts in any shape. It's inexpensive. The clay is flexible. But some moulds are breakable and therefore need to be handled with care. In my mind, for myself, I created Plan A, Plan B etc with different variables. Here we go to the evolution of Vedic Literature : https://www.speakingtree.in/blog/the-vedas-their-evolution-and-significance How do I connect the paragraphs in the introduction to evolution and significance of Vedas? I never imagined I'll be trying to understand evolution of Vedas, ever. Here also, I am scared of the depth and am unprepared for the dip. I've stopped my reading with Shankaracharya's commentaries on "Eight Upanishads" : Eight Upanishads (2 Vols. Set)|| Translated by Swami Gambhirananda||Advaita Ashrama https://amzn.in/d/09w9w0Wx My readers are averse to long mails and therefore I try to restrict my daily dose to 100 words. I'm reminded of a guidance from a boss about "Office Notes" we used to get typed on thick blue (always the paper was light green!) if we expect the case to go up beyond a particular level in the hierarchy : "Main issues for consideration should find a mention in the first three paras on the first page" I don't know when the next edition of Warrier's Collage will come out. People are happy with the present daily dose of "Hundred Plus Words". I think that solves the size problem also. M G Warrier
