Time for an indigenous arms industry - The Hindu

My VIEW:

A well argued, timely plea for indegenisation of at least a part of arms production. Side by side with oil and gold defence procurement is a drain on India's resources. Dependence on 'unfriendly' producers of arms adds to risks and costs. There are recent experiences which have lessons to show that time is running out.
