One wonders, when research moves on deeper and deeper into the unknown, what percentage of research findings already available is being applied for the benefit of humanity.
Still, it is also comforting to see that social scientists and scholars like Dr B Eqbal (I'm not comfortable referring to him as "activist", though from the time I knew him- late1960s- he has been more active than the people around him) are closely monitoring research activities in most sensitive areas like genetics.
