Here, the letter is asking a look into only one aspect of a larger ‘design’ that reduced public trust in UTI. There are forces working against successful public sector organisations(UTI would not have ‘failed’, if there was timely detection of mischief and appropriate support from the government. To put it bluntly, if there was an audit of the kind, now government is getting scared of, UTI would have survived with its past glory)
