Think before you leap — with your e-mail - The Hindu

My VIEW:

Excellent thoughts on communication. Though the whole narrative is based on a single individual's experience, the article is thought-provoking and provides guidance to the present generation, which is destined to be part of a moving multi-purpose machine. There are occasions when emails are replied from the 'rest room' or prayer room or while attending a phone call, while taking food, driving car or worst of all while one is facing the music before the 'boss' for not meeting a deadline! These will still continue, but one will learn to prioritise, postpone which is not urgent and ignore where a response is not necessary. Having said that, while I enjoy the comfort of keying in these comments online without keeping a back-up, 'those days', my boss used to revise my three line acknowledgement letter put up as 'draft' to him three times!
