Challenges before Indian Banking System

Online comments posted on January 24, 2017:

While there can be no two views on the need to restore the health of Indian Banking System, the mixing up of rising percentage of stressed assets, problem of plenty arising from mainstreaming of idle cash and blow hot blow cold approach of ex- Governors to demonetization blurs the picture further. One Ex-Governor claimed he would have resigned if his 'advice' was rejected. There is no evidence that Urjit Patel's advice was rejected, though. Another advice was, Governors can threaten that if GOI doesn't fall in line, they'll run away and get hospitalised. Fortunately, since September 2013, RBI and GOI are discussing common issues on an ongoing basis and acting in harmony. The cold war exists more in the Media.
