Interesting interpretation of Nataraja Naatyam. The Kanchi Periyavaal has somewhere described the dance of Lord Nataraja as Ujjwala Thaandavam. All symbols have their importance and meaning and effect. The various mudras of fingers are symbolic expressions and panacea for various types of bodily and mental ailments. And every danseuse is taught mudras for expressing various emotions.
