Welcome to Warrier's Daily COLLAGE November 5, 2020 Thursday Your daily share of inspiration, writings - by you, for you : Curated by MG Warrier SATSANG https://youtu.be/imavqFvdPWk (Bhagavad-Gita) (Swami Chinmayananda) Music Jo Wada Kiya Wo Nibhana Padega...) https://youtu.be/kjHJOto3D8g (Link courtesy: Ramesh Warrier) Quote for the day: " There is no companion like solitude. One who knows how to tune himself to the inner silence, even in the midst of the din and roar of the marketplace, enjoys a most recreative solitude." —Swami Chinmayananda It was not US Elections uncertainties that delayed Collage today. Collage had to find an interim response to Satish Katyal's query on "RIP". Badrinarayanan from Chennai helped. Thanks to all of you. Posted By: M G Warrier A Interaction DROPS OF WATER! Here is a great lesson for every one. Saving every paisa is also like saving a drop of water. In the same manner the saved water is to be used for a good purpose, the saved paise too have to be utilised for a good productive purpose. In this context, I still remember after more than seventy years, when my maternal uncle in the then Madras China Bazar took me to an old watch dealer, a white bearded man with sparkling eyes and throwing a broad smile that revealed a couple of his fallen teeth. His name was Yousuff. "Young man!", he addressed me. "How much do you earn?". I said that I am still in search of a job. "You will get one soon" he blessed me! "But before spending a pie, think how much you have to work for earning it. The value of an anna will be felt only when you fall short of that precise one anna when you are about to buy a thing." These words still ring in my ears. Whether I have later in life followed this is another matter. There is a reference to the growing figure of our foreign exchange reserves. We as a nation can pat ourselves on our back for this situation. But unless we use this exchange for our development, of what use are they? We can count every day what amount of reserves we have, like Midas in his greed of acquiring gold will not be able to lead a happy and purposeful life! Our Finance Managers and the Central Bank have to design schemes to use the foreign exchange reserves for creating infrastructure that will ensure increased employment and all round development of all regions and all classes of people. Giving out unemployment doles or feeding millions free is not the solution: such schemes are an insult to the self respect and dignity of human beings. Subbaraman C V 2) Vathsala Jayaraman " Thought provoking forward by Mrs Prabha Ramadurai. In Tamil we have a proverb prevailing for centuries" Siru Thuli Peru Vellam"( Small drops leads to heavy floods") That applies to all aspects of life." (In Malayalam also: "Pala Thulli Peruvellam" There's a Water Conservation Project in Kerala named "Palathulli"- )https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palathulli -Collage) B.
