Welcome to Warrier's Daily COLLAGE November 11, 2020 Wednesday Your daily share of inspiration, writings - by you, for you : Curated by MG Warrier Arthashastra https://youtu.be/6meWW7fdib4 (Introductory) MUSIC Pal Pal Dil Ke Pas... https://youtu.be/f5dw3nafOuo (Film: Blackmail, 1973) (Link courtesy: Ramesh Warrier) Quote for the day: "We should not fret for what is past, nor should we be anxious about the future; men of discernment deal only with the present moment.” -Kautily There were some queries about availability of my book "Restoring Trust in Governance" from some readers of Collage yesterday. The Amazon.in link is given below. It's available online at Flipkart and with Notion Press also. M G Warrier https://www.amazon.in/dp/1636335896/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_fabc_4V5PFbKXDBR1R Interaction Dr T V Gopalakrishnan "Congrats. One more feather to your cap. Title of the book "Restoring Trust in Governance" is interesting. My observation is that both Trust and Governance are missing everywhere in the country and if your book can enlighten the power that be to restore these vital aspects, it will turn out to be a marvellous achievement. The political set up that we have now cares only to be in power and all other forms of Governance do not carry any importance . The concept of Trust is not figuring in any dictionary that Indian Politicians refer to. Good that you have put efforts and brought out a book on a subject very badly needed in India. All the best." (Many Thanks for your thoughtful, encouraging response. Somewhere inside the book, I have mentioned that the title of a chapter is more "a pious wish". Now I confess that the name of the book is a reminder to certain ideas our generation allowed to be forgotten. In my response to Dr Subbarao in an earlier issue of Collage, I mentioned that we destroyed institutions like UTI by removing the TRUST between U and I (I used different words). Let's start discussing restoring trust -Warrier)
