It is going to be a special meeting for this big community of humour seekers, which has senior citizens in the majority. Over the last two years, the Club did not have any virtual meet-ups as some were uncomfortable with technology and moreover its huge numbers did not make meeting online a feasible idea. To cheer up members, tidbits of its programmes from the past were shared to their WhatsApp numbers. The Facebook page of the chapter also got really active. “We are expecting around 1000 people at the venue as many have been waiting to watch our events in-person; that is the real entertainment,” says Kannan B, the chapter’s treasurer, adding that the Club has 1400 life members. The Club has also held talks to get back to its old venue – Mylapore Fine Arts Club — that it has booked for the months April to June. A young boy of 7 years old came to Ramana Maharishi and asked him, "Can you explain to me what is meditation? Whenever I ask my parents they tell me that I need not bother about it now."I will come to know when I grow up. Ramana said, " I shall tell you, but you sit quietly by my side." A little later someone brought a bowl containing Dosa and placed it before Ramana. He took a small piece himself, gave one full Dosa to the boy by his side in a leaf. He told the boy," Look here,till I raise my finger and say "Hoon" you will go on eating and you should not finish it before I give the signal. The moment I give the signal 'hoon' no portion of the Dosa should remain and you should stop eating". The boy was looking with concentration on Ramana for the signal and was eating in big pieces first and later in small bits. Suddenly the expected signal came. The boy put the entire balance Dosa in the mouth and stopped eating. Ramana then said, "what you now did is the process of meditation. You were looking at me all the time but were eating the Dosa. Similarly keep your mind one pointed on God but continue with your normal duties." Let your normal activities like walking, eating, talking etc., go on but your mind should be concentrated on God all the time. That is Meditation. Here God is not just some external force. The professional started interviewing the teacher as planned earlier. Young professional - "Sir, in your last lecture, you told us about "Contact" and "Connection." It's really confusing. Can you explain?" The old teacher smiled and apparently deviating from the question asked the young professional: "Are you from this city?" professional : "Yeah..." Teacher : "Who are there at home?" The professional felt that the teacher was trying to avoid answering his question since this was a very personal and unwarranted question. Yet the young professional said: "Mother had expired. Father is there. Three brothers and one sister. All married..." The old teacher, with a smile on his face, asked again: "Do you talk to your father?" The young professional looked visibly annoyed... The old teacher : "When did you talk to him last?" The young professional, supressing his annoyance said: "May be a month ago." The old teacher : "Do your brothers and sisters meet often? When did you meet last as a family gathering?" At this point, sweat appeared on the forehead of the young professional. It seemed that the old teacher was interviewing the young professional. With a sigh, the Journalist said: "We met last at Deepwali two years ago." The old teacher : "How many days did you all stay together?" The young professional (wiping the sweat on his brow) said: "Three days..." Old teacher : "How much time did you spend with your Father, sitting right beside him?" The young professional looking perplexed and embarassed and started scribbling something on a paper... The old teacher : "Did you have breakfast, lunch or dinner together? Did you ask how he was? Did you ask how his days are passing after your mother's death?" Drops of tears started to flow from the eyes of the young professional. The old teacher held the hand of the young professional and said: "Don't be embrassed, upset or sad. I am sorry if I have hurt you unknowingly... But this is basically the answer to your question about "Contact and Connection ." You have 'Contact' with your father but you don't have 'Connection' with him. You are not connected to him. Connection is between heart and heart... Sitting together, sharing meals and caring for each other, touching, shaking hands, having eye contact, spending some time together... All your brothers and sisters have 'Contact' but no 'Connection' with each other..." The young professional wiped his eyes and said : "Thanks Sir for teaching me a fine and unforgettable lesson." This is the reality today. Whether at home or in the society everybody has lots of contacts but there is no connection. Everybody is busy in his or her own world. ... All over the word airlines don't own their own planes, they lease them. The European Union has imposed sanctions on Russia and obliged European leasing companies to take back all leased aircraft from Russia by March 28th. That's a total of 520 aircraft. Phil Seymour, President of the Association of European Leasing Companies: 1. Return of 520 aircraft! How is this to be done? The Russians said if you refuse to lease them to us, get them back yourself! How can we get 520 crews to Russia when the airspace in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine is closed? We can't fly in! 2. Once the handover has taken place in Russian airports, the planes will no longer be Russian. But a non-Russian plane is not allowed to fly in Russian airspace – the Russian airspace is blocked! We won't be able to fly out! 3. However, the leasing companies are the initiators of the termination of these leases. In the original calculation of the cost of fines in such a case, we will all be bankrupted at once. It's easier and cheaper to go bankrupt than to take back the planes. 4. February is over and Russia has to pay the lease payments for the month. Russia is willing to pay but cannot pay because it is excluded from SWIFT. We ourselves have to pay fines because of the terminations, but in view of the lack of incoming payments from Russia we have no money for such payments! 5. Even if we take back these planes, what are we going to do with them? We don't need them, nobody wants them and it's impossible to sell them! 6. The Boeings of American leasing companies are not affected. If Europe takes the planes away from the Russians, the US will supply Russia with its Boeing planes and become the world's No. 1 airline, bankrupting both the European leasing company and Airbus." Vladimir Putin didn’t just invade the Ukraine on 24/02/2022, he officially ended the petrodollar system. How? Remember, Russians don’t do anything without a plan. They & China have been prepping for this moment for years & are now ready: Russia has stated NATO expansion into Ukraine was a red line. -They knew their invasion of Ukraine would be inevitable and would have strategized that the US/West’s response would be SWIFT $ system exclusions/sanctions. -Reasonable to expect that Russia’s next step would have been to shut off oil/gas pipelines to Europe, as Russia has built up huge Yuan, gold & commodity reserves. -This will cause massive price and supply disruptions (war level) to the western markets & monetary system. - For years Russia & China have looked for ways to re-monetize gold & exit abuses of SWIFT system as a geo-political tool against them, but how to do it, how to exit, without West declaring it an act of aggression or war against West? - This Ukraine invasion just accomplished that end for them. And the West is doing it themselves. -Now, freed to declare themselves SWIFT system outcasts by the western govt hands, Russia can now say “we will turn oil pipelines back on, but not for dollars.” - Russia then declares that Europe or anyone that wants Russian oil (as 3rd largest global producer) or Russian/Ukrainian wheat (1/4 of worlds production) must pay in gold, or use the ruble-yuan gold backed payment system. - Their leverage as an oil producer (who cuts off supply) will cause almost immediate price shocks to the western world. A good part of the population could immediately be unable to heat their homes. - Almost equal to the oil shock they’d cause is their ability to cause food shortages and price spikes through the disruption of wheat production. -Unmentioned in all this is China. Who has been silent & not condemned Russia.That means silent approval & cooperation. - China will act to soak up Russian production of oil and wheat to soften the blow to their “strategic partner”. - This will again be through the Yuan-Ruble facility and at some point overtly-stated gold backing of that system by Russia and China. - The West will of course declare those last two bullets as acts of global aggression and direct threats to the “world monetary system”. - At this point that there will be a clear fracture of the world’s monetary system into 2 competing East/West structures, circling back to the initial point that the 50 year global petrodollar system has just officially been ended by Putin.
