Good Morning Nice Day M G Warrier A Interaction 1) V R Chittanandam Cheñnai Today's Collage was interesting to read with pieces from Dr.Charan Singh, Jayakumar, Babusenan and others. Thank you. Regards, Chittanandam 2) Vishnu Kelkar Mythology/ Spirituality 1) Story time with Dr. Charat Singh " But why did you shoot the elephant Keshav ?" Arjuna asked. In this conversation Arjuna has addressed Krishna as Keshava. It may be interesting to note the eighteen names of Lord Shri Krishna employed in the Bhagwat Gita. Achyuta - He who does not deviate from His divine nature. Arisudana - He who destroys the enemies. Bhagawan - He who is endowed with power, virtue, fame, glory, detachment and freedom. Govinda - The knower of the Jivatman. Hrishikesha - The Lord of the senses. Jagannivasa - The abode of the universe. Janardana - He who is adored by the devotees for the fulfilment of their desires. Kesava - He who has beautiful hair. The Lord of the Trinity. Kesinisudana - He who slaughtered Kesin. Krishna - The dark one. The remover of sin. He who is Brahman. Madhava - The Lord of Lakshmi. Madhusudana - He who destroyed the demon named Madhu. Purushottama - The Supreme Person. Varshneya - He who belongs to the Vrishni clan. Vasudeva - The son of Vasudeva. The immanent in all. Vishnu - The all pervading One. Yadava - He who comes of the Yadu clan. Yogeswara - The Lord of Yoga. VNKelkar 3) S Nallasivan Hyderabad Happy Birthday to Govind II I know the Warriers, yes, Sudha and Govind are meticulous, in planning and execution. They are a planned family to a fault. Yes, We two and ours too. God too help those who help themselves. So the son of a Siva Temple priest is blessed with a son and daughter. The Warriers invited Brightness and Prosperity and naturally, Kiran and Reshmy arrived. Their progeny perfected planning and their family is confined to single child the new norm recommended to. There is no wonder that Reshmy begets a Dawn, Vihaan. When the scion of the Warrier family Govind the II Celebrates his birthday, on the 6th day of the month, so too the other grandson Vihaan (On the 6th day of October) If I venture to proclaim the Collage not Warrier's but the Warrier Clan, I may not be wrong. But should not be surprised that V T Panchapagesan, Vathsala Jayaraman, Babusenan, Nallasivan and many others are an extended Warrier family. Dr T V Surendran is a member of the family. You meet the poet Reshmy in the pages of the Collage. Mrs Sudha Warrier too register her presence and Kiran Warrier is not wanting in his own contribution. When Govind the II is comfortable with a Guitar, possibly Vihaan may follow his author maternal grandfather and take to writing. He has the distinction of reviewing one of his grandfather authored book, jointly with his Mom. Don't you think that Govind possibly is the childhood friend of Sudha(ma) S.Nallasivan (Thanks, Nallasivan. Some more friends have responded via WhatsApp and phone calls wishing Govind Kiran on his Birthday. Messages have been passed on to the BD Boy. Many Thanks to all from our family 🙏-Warrier) 4) A P Ramadurai Cheñnai In Collage on May 6,2021: 2) Left to right was brainwave of A. P. Ramadurai - not Jayakumar (Noted 🙏-Warrier) B Current Affairs Mumbai's fight to Win* https://youtu.be/9-rvyPGEAeQ I listened entire. There are 700 plus online comments. Posted online comments: "Iqbal Singh Chahal in this interaction has explained with clarity Mumbai's year-long efforts under his leadership to bring the pandemic under control. He has been leading from the front infusing confidence in the one lakh plus BMC employees, each one of them having some role in the ongoing fight. Please listen to this talk, taking time out from your schedule. You will not be disappointed. I myself didn't know the leadership behind, when I had my CoviShield vaccination in a BMC Jumbo facility. The whole system manned by around 100 people providing vaccination to thousands of people everyday was functioning efficiently like a well-oiled machine. Leadership makes the difference." M G Warrier Mumbai *Link received from Kiran Warrier Mumbai ( I watched the video. He was very clear about the situation and took bold and effective steps. The result of his action was very good. This should be telecast in major channels for the benefits of other states: R Narayanan Thiruvananthapuram) C Spirituality/Philosophy 1) A Page from Bhagavad-Gita: V T Panchapagesan Chennai AMANITVAM: Absence of Pride We develop pride along with our worldly achievements of Wealth, Power, Position, Status, etc...We gain a vanity, an air of superiority.. We misjudge our role in life. Consequently we deal incorrectly with the world. This causes friction externally and agitation within... We may be superior to others in some aspects... But is that any reason why we should feel superior to them? Are they not superior to us in other respects? Then who is superior to whom? Is it not vainful ignorance for anyone to claim superiority over another in this beautiful world of assorted talents? There is a poem wherein a mountain and a squirrel had a quarrel.. Mountain brags about its great power of carrying forests on its back... The squirrel replies: Talents differ, all is well and wisely put, if I cannot carry forests on my back, neither can you crack a nut!..... Pride is a product of ignorance . When we gain the knowledge of the higher values of life the lower values in us drop off... Presently our life is infested with material and sensual desires... We are preoccupied with accumulating wealth, maintaining a family, establishing fame, name, etc...These are impermanent aspects of life.. Ultimately nothing will remain with us...Nothing except knowledge of the supreme self....Yet we occupy our entire life acquiring everything except this knowledge..Sankarar in his timeless wisdom gives sane advice: Do not be proud of wealth, following and youth...Time loots away all these In a moment. Realize the illusory nature of this entire world and enter the state Of the Supreme Being within us...... P S : Ayanam means Path. Ramayan is Path of RaMa.. Ravan was the great king with supreme power in his command.. Due to Self esteem he looked himself as an eminent person, and an object of reverence and worship or a towering personality. And coveting honor, fame, respect and adoration from others ...etc But due to his pride due to ego centric desires, he succumbed to downfall..finally. V. T. Panchapagesan.. D The Purpose of Life: WarriersViews @ Times of India https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/readersblog/warriersviews/purpose-of-life-27707/ Excerpts: "Then, what’s the purpose of this life? 1 Dharma: For whom, at what stage in life? 2 Artha: Accumulating assets? What for? 3 Kama: This cannot be “the purpose” 4 Moksha: If this is the purpose of life, why take birth and go through all the troubles? So, distinct from 1 to 4 there must be a purpose for our being here. Think, and share your thoughts." E Conversation: Book Review https://frontline.thehindu.com/other/article30210233.ece/amp/ Excerpts: "Stephen Miller's book is a lament on and an elegy for the declining art of conversation. IT is a damning censure on the emptiness of social life of pomp and show at a ritual dinner party, "where time flies amidst emptiness" and one returns home to "retake possession of our being and our home" and "put ourselves under strict arrest for having idly strayed amidst the fair of triumphant follies". Yet, there does exist "a select society, with doors scarcely ajar, where gaiety enters and sits down without ceremony, where everything within us expands in a warm feeling of comfort, a desire to talk in an... paradoxical but always high-toned conversation... [we] lull asleep our severity and habitual disgust... in the select company we meet refined partners with whom it is the greatest of pleasures to converse; we hobnob really with our brains with these same reserved visitors, so timid, dull, obscure and silent in great noisy assemblies, but so penetrating, subtle, complex and characteristic in a dialogue" F Leisure: 1) The other side of a stamp Contributed by V Babusenan Thiruvananthapuram Africa and South America are like big lakes full of crocodiles. They are called dictators. One such dictator had postal stamps issued with his photograph on them. After a few weeks, he asked his Secretary about the progress in their sale. Secretary : "Your majesty, the stamps are tremendously popular. People prefer this new stamp. But, your majesty, there is one problem." Dictator: "What is that?" Secretary: "The posted letters do not bear any stamp". Dictator : "That means the stamps aren't properly gummed. Summon the Director of P&T. I will finish him". Secretary: "No, your majesty. The problem is not that". Dictator : "Then?" Secretary : "The people are spitting on the other side of the stamp" 2) It’s not cricket Anne is deeply religious. She is worried about her husband Ted and consults the local bishop-Father, Ted is playing cricket on Sundays. Is it a sin? The bishop assures her-No, my child. But the way he plays it amounts to a crime. *Contributed by A P Ramadurai 3) Group Discipline* HOW TO MAINTAIN FRIENDSHIP IN THE GROUP YOU BELONG TO: (1) Take everything as joke.
