Moses hit a ball that passed through a huge pond. The pond gave way... The ball fell on the other side. Then Jesus hit a ball that passed through the pond. Here again the pond gave way. There was a small hillock after the pond. Even the hillock gave way. Finally the ball landed on the other side of the hillock. Now it was the Old man's turn. When he hit the ball, it got struck on a huge tree. There was a strong breeze which made the ball fall into the pond. A frog in the pond caught the ball. A snake caught the frog. An eagle watching from the tree top, caught the snake and flew away. In between, the eagle dropped the snake from its clutches. The snake in turn released the frog; the frog released the ball. The ball fell right on the 18th hole of Golf Course. Moses looked at Jesus and said : "Never play Golf with this Old man. The Old man was none other than Jesus's father, Jehovah, the Lord. When we look carefully at the example, when Jehovah, the Lord played, the breeze, frog, snake and eagle helped mysteriously. When you totally surrender, many mysterious forces start help one to reach his goal. The sincere effort with prayer helps a lot to enhance the quality of surrender. Is there any other significance to this story? This ‘will’ should come as a credible message from the highest level. It will be next to impossible to make laws mischief-proof. Society : Building Bridges https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/blogs/toi-edit-page/holy-days-can-build-bridges-for-harmony/ Excerpts : As devotees, regardless of our religious identity, we need to keep in mind that every holy day we celebrate is supposed to be an offering to an All-Benevolent Creator. For this reason, from ancient times, while performing yajnas, participants would chant, ‘Idam agnaye, swaha, idam agnaye, idam na mama,’ meaning, ‘Not for me, but for You [God]!’ Such was the attitude not only in havan ceremonies but also in every action of one’s life. Everything must be done as an offering to Him. This year, sandwiched between Good Friday and Easter Sunday, there was Hanuman Jayanti. On April 14, Baisakhi coincided with Mahavir Jayanti. On May 3, depending upon sighting of the moon, chances are that Eid-ul-Fitr, which is celebrated at the end of Ramzan, might coincide with Akshaya Tritiya and just before that, the 12-day Bahaí festival called Ridvan, pronounced Rezvan, meaning paradise, that started on April 21, will conclude on May 2. That's what all the kids at school told me. I filled my wardrobe with as much purple as I could possibly find, because who cares? Life's too short to dress by other people's rules.
