When the Nations of the earth were sent forth one after the other, a special word was given by GOD to each, the word which was to express to the world the particular message of each… To Egypt in olden days, the word was RELIGION, To Persia (Iran) the word was PURITY, To Chaldea the word was SCIENCE, To Greece the word was BEAUTY, To Rome the word was LAW, And to India the eldest born of His Children, He gave a word that summed up the whole in ONE, THE WORD DHARMA! It is difficult to translate the word in English. It briefly means a Code of duty, Duty- towards GOD, Duty towards His people, Duty to Society, Duty to Animals, and birds which also means LOVE FOR ALL THE CREATION. Sankarar(first century), Ramanujar(1017-1137) & Madhwar(1238-1317) propagated Monism, Qualified Monism and Dualism……SRM Through Buddhi, Manas & Sareeram. MONISOM not TWO but one. CONTROLLING THE SENSES TOWARDS SELF-REALIZATION THROUGH BUDDHI/INTELLECT. PRAGYANAM BRAHMA : INTELLIGENCE IS DIVINE. QUALIFIED MONISOM IS THROUGH MIND WITH UTMOST DEVOTION Without blind Faith shedding feelings and emotions towards higher level. DUALISM IS WORK IN ANY FORM IS WORSHIP as all are humans to be Humane in living…living with Harmony..THROUGH BODY. Beyond Body, Beyond Mind, Beyond Intellect. Explore Self towards Realization with constant effort. In short, it sums up : From a bush with thorns comes the beautiful rose. From a broken heart comes powerful prose. From a cramped cocoon comes a butterfly new. From a tough mountain climb comes a breathtaking view. Self-realization comes from meditation with positivity in action. Leonardo da Vinci is said to have possessed the extraordinary faculty of photographic memory while Sri Sankara carried all along a very efficient tape recorder in his brain. One is tempted to believe that he owned the other gift too. If not, how could he conquer such intellectual heights within a short life of32 years? Here is an anecdote in proof of the tape recording faculty of his amazing brain: In the history of Sanskrit literature, Sakthibhadra has earned a niche as being the first from the South to contribute a drama. 'Aascharyachoodamani'(The Wonderful Hairpin) is the name of the play and the reference is to the hairpin Sita sent to Rama through Hanumaan. Sakthibhadra was a Keralite belonging to Adoor in the present Patthanamthitta district and was a disciple of Sri Sankara. After writing the play, he took it to the Kalady ashram for his master's approval. The Acharya was busy with the arrangements for his north Indian tour and so he told him to read it out to him. He obeyed, but even at the end of the reading, the Guru did not utter a word about it. The sishya was upset. Presuming that his work was worthless, Sakthibhadra threw the entire palm leaf stuff into the fire. When the Guru returned to the Ashram after a long time, the Sishya reached there to pay his respects. Acharya asked him about the drama he wrote. The Sishya was embarrassed as he did not expect this enquiry. He said:"Sire, as you didn't say a word about it, I thought that you didn't approve of it and I destroyed it." The Guru smiled:" My dear fellow, do you remember any part of it? " "No,Sire".He replied apologetically. " It was in deed a good work. I should have responded then." He asked somebody to bring writing material and told somebody else to write down what he was going to dictate. Then he dictated non-stop the entire drama! But for this marvellous feat, none would have heard the name of Sakthibhadra. As William Wordsworth was a poet of romantic era; he depicts beauty of nature in his poem using beautiful imagery and language full of figurative tools. He personifies beauty and use couple of similes to make the wording appealing. He, with his contemporary, Samuel Tailor Coleridge, started Romantic Movement and this poem is the true example of his romantic love towards nature. E Books by M G Warrier-1 https://notionpress.com/author/m_g_warrier Restoring Trust in Governance : India's 2020's Challenge is a companion volume to M G Warrier's 2018 book “India's Decade of Reforms” which looked at the initiatives taken by Government of India and RBI to restore the country's economic health by an appropriate diagnosis of factors that stalled the 1990's initiatives to introduce economic and financial sector reforms. GOI and RBI are taking forward reform initiatives to revamp the institutional system in the financial sector by infusing transparency and professionalism in policy formulation and introducing structural alterations wherever necessary. This book focuses on policy initiatives necessary to retrieve Indian Economy and the Indian Financial Sector from the present crisis-like situation. Areas covered in this book include agenda for the second Modi government at the centre (2019-24), pros and cons of privatizing public sector, approach towards gold management. Reserve Bank of India's role in confidence boosting viewed in the context of monetary policy implementation since the setting up of Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), some aspects of macroeconomic policy challenges before the Reserve Bank of India, need for a strong central bank, conflicts in formulation and implementation of monetary and fiscal policies. Finally, in a separate Section, namely ‘Professionalizing Financial System’ we look at measures being taken to professionalize and strengthen the Financial Sector with focus on regulation and supervision of the banking system. F Leisure Bhagavad-Gita in schools http://mainstreamweekly.net/article12303.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email Excerpts : The young minds in the schools and the adult minds in the colleges and universities need the freedom to study whatever they like to understand themselves and realise their goals in life. Freedom to study is central to realise one's own creative potentials. The state and governments have no roles to shape the minds of people in a direction of darkness and unreason. The central logic of the Hindutva politics is to let markets be free but domesticate individuals and govern their minds to comply with the state, government and their capitalist social, political and economic cultures. Let the academicians and researchers shape the educational curriculums within the framework of Indian constitution which promises its citizens right to have scientific and secular education. This is the only way, educational curriculums can serve its essentialist and emancipatory roles by fulfilling the needs and desires of people and the planet. (Author of this article Bhabani Shankar Nayak is at the University of Glasgow, UK. Collage doesn't endorse his views. Included the link for information. The concerns may be genuine, but the fears are unfounded. I am not sure whether anywhere in the world, there's a system of "managing" inputs for education, in the manner suggested in the article. As regards the observation "The state and governments have no roles to shape the minds of people in a direction of darkness and unreason." refering to Gita, Shakespeare was a compulsory ingredient in Indian Universities long after independence also. -Warrier) G Quotes on Yellow ๐ŸŸก https://everydaypower.com/yellow-quotes/ Like : “Yellow is the brightest and lightest of all colors, and this brilliance is its most noticeable characteristic, which accounts for the way it is used practically and thought of symbolically.” – Michael Freeman Michael Freeman (Born 1945) is a British author, photographer and journalist.
