It has become more a tool to fulfill their own wishes by our political masters. 2) Vivek Amin Nagpur Not only Sachin and Rekha return remuneration or can remit to PM Relief Fund but those MP/ MLA who is/are continuously in Jail for 6 months must loose their LS/State Assembly membership. 3) C V Subbaraman Unity in diversity: Compare the verse from Bhaja Govindam: Strength has left the old man's body; his head has become bald, his gums toothless and leaning on crutches. Even then the attachment is strong and he clings firmly to fruitless desires. 4) Kaipilly Unnikrishnan Shared an information: The Curd Rice... Curd Rice is the only Indian food which releases a Chemical called Tryptophan in Brain. Indians alone take Curd as Curd. But western world takes it as Yogurt, which has got Sugar too, and sugar will not calm your Brain, but increase Glucose level and will put one to more restlessness. Sugar is dangerous for the Balance of Neural activity. It triggers hyperactivity. But Curd rice is the only food which can release Tryptophan in Brain, which calms down and brings a cool thinking, and your neurons are recharged with a mild rest because of Tryptophan. ( In Sanskrit there's a word for this Chemical, as Thrupthophan, Thrupthi means Satisfaction). Curd rice is the Scientific reason for the success of many Indians, as it is the best brain food which activates the brain in a balanced manner for a Tropical climate! 5) M G Warrier Mumbai Shared a link : https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/readersblog/warriersviews/remembering-a-freedom-fighter-from-wayanad-t-rama-warrier-42478/ T Rama Warrier from Wayanad was a recipient of Tamra Patra an honour given to select freedom fighters who survived even after 25 years post-independence. April 3, 2022 was TR’s 27th Memorial Day. TR is my wife Sudha’s father. I met him first a day after Vishu in 1973. With a senior relative I reached Mananthavady late in the afternoon that day to see Sudha. We knew from locals that at that time TR will be in town. Before we reached the shop where we were told TR used to manage his small business, he had closed the day’s work and started walking home. He was walking westwards, protecting his face from the sunrays by holding up copy of the day’s Indian Express in his hand. B Collage on Sunday SUNDAY COLLAGE : FRIENDSHIP WHAT IS DEPRESSION? Depression is Frozen feeling… It is not a disease of The Mind. It is sourced in unexpressed, unreleased And unhealed Pain that is held deep within The physical and emotional body….. You can talk about it in Theraphy to soften its edges, You can medicate it in the hope that it becomes More manageable, but the real work has to happen Somatically, deep within the body itself…. The frozen material has to be thawed out , Worked through, released…. Our shadow is not our enemy Repression is….. Unfortunately, we still live in a world that is Afraid of the source material…. So we shun it, bury it, manage it with dissociative Spiritualities, medications and feelings - avoidant Psychoanalysis…. All of this merely perpetuates and concretizes the Problem.. The only way to heal Depression is to get to its roots To set right inside those frozen feelings and thaw them Out Somatically.. We felt the initial pain in our bodies . We must go right back inside of our bodies to feel And resolve it….. No more defenses and denials. THE FEEL IS FOR REAL. Let us feel our way back to Life.. Depression is a ten alphabet word and We have to get a suitable ten letter one counter attacking it…. That is to develop FRIENDSHIP.. BUT HOW? Remove ‘I’ with ‘WE’ shedding our ‘EGO’ with ‘LOVE & SMILE’ Eliminating ‘RUMOUR/GOSSIP’ towards ‘SUCCESS’ without ‘JEALOUSY’ and ‘KNOWLEDGE’ with ‘FRIENDSHIP’ dissolving it…for happiness. Nor happy as worldly tasks were not even accomplished Learned devotee with developed consciousness lives for ever & is honored Guru Nanak, 1412, SGGS C Babusenan's Column Job satisfaction From one of the railway stations in New York City, Bertrand Russell emerged and got into a taxi. He told the driver where he wanted to go and the taxi moved. The driver then looked back and said : "You look like Lord Bertrand Russell, the philosopher." Russell smiled : "Not look like. I am that great Lord himself." Now the taxi was moving through heavy traffic. The driver turned his head and said : "Then I am very happy. I have some doubts about your logical atomism. May I ask? I am doing my doctoral research on modern philosophical thoughts of the West under the New York University". Russell responded thus* : "You are welcome, but not now. At any other time that suits both of us. Now, please look at the road and drive carefully." The idea behind reproducing this anecdote is only to show that, in those days in the US, one could not judge a person from what he did. If one asked a table boy who he was, he would say he was the second son of Henry Ford. But, in those days and until recently, our country was different. A girl who took post graduation and graduation in the art of teaching would sit at home doing nothing except waiting for the postman to bring the appointment order from the government, if she could not raise enough funds to oblige private school managements. This waiting might lengthen and she would become like the proverbial hornbill, the Chataka. All that has changed now. Ask the charming young woman selling lottery tickets in front of the famous Muruga temple at Haripad, Alappuzha dt. She will tell you that her name is Pooja Rajan, a post graduate in commerce and a degree- holder in teaching, of the first water. She earns more than what a private school would have given her and with time at her disposal. She does not mind hard work including exposure to the unkind sun. Many of the delivery boys (a popular job of post- Covid origin) may have more or less the same story to tell. The causes of the situation are many, but the gradual vanishing of the 'infra dig' mentality seems salutary. *Perhaps Russell was borrowing time to assess the person's condition. If not handled with care, drivers and barbers 'on job' can harm their clients... Why do they miss out on free life-saving immunizations, but pay for unnecessary drugs? In Poor Economics, Abhijit V Banerjee and Esther Duflo, two practical visionaries working toward ending world poverty, answer these questions from the ground. In a book the Wall Street Journal called “marvelous, rewarding,” the authors tell how the stress of living on less than 99 cents per day encourages the poor to make questionable decisions that feed—not fight—poverty. The result is a radical rethinking of the economics of poverty that offers a ringside view of the lives of the world’s poorest, and shows that creating a world without poverty begins with understanding the daily decisions facing the poor." It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the action of human beings.” “Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is the protection of a fundamental human right, the right to dignity and a decent life. “While poverty persists, there is no true freedom.” “Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great. You can be that great generation.” Nelson Mandela
