Making haste slowly | Business Line

My VIEW:

"Ninan, who has spent four decades chronicling the economy, sketches out why for a host of reasons the country’s growth path must be a made-in-India one and that the nation is unlikely to be able to copy the Chinese script. In fact, he says it may be a little like the Europeans asking the Greeks to be like Germans. It could happen but don’t bet on it."
i would like to read this again and remember the stress on the Indian context while formulating development models. During the current decade, priorities for India will still remain poverty elimination, literacy, social security and universal healthcare and prescriptions from developed world will be dispensed keeping these priorities in view. In India, there is a refreshing awareness about this.
